I’m an English, Philosophy and Gender Studies graduate who has been out in the “real world” for about a decade. Mostly working in the book publishing industry in the UK.
My interest in philosophy waned until I found myself at a crisis point about a year ago (end of 2016), when, looking for some framework, I rediscovered philosophy through Stoicism, Epicureanism and Buddhism.
Realising that my life was rapidly becoming something I didn’t want to live in – in spite of the ostensible appearances: great job, wonderful wife etc. – I was inspired to make many, many changes, most of which have had a fantastic outcome.
Now, as I continue to grow, I want to share some of the things I have learned with the wider world. Maybe something more will come of this one day, but for now, it is a good excuse to write, which was one of the many things I had been putting off for a very long time through a combination of fear, doubt and incidental cultural brainwashing.
Expect posts on all things thoughtful, mindful, life-full. Basically, anything that I think can help you become a better version of yourself, but for the right reasons.
If that doesn’t sound good to you, vale, I wish you luck on your path.
